Underrated productivity tips for business coaches
You’ve heard this before I’m sure, but rules are rules
The tips for staying productive are:
Eat the frog
Okay, not literally to eat a frog; that won’t be good. This means you should do the most challenging and dreaded task first – and in the morning. This will save
you a ton of time worrying about the job because you’ll do it anyway.
Never multitask
This cannot be overemphasized. Imagine talking to your client, and your eyes are fixed on your keyboard because you’re typing an email sequence to send. This cannot be overemphasized. Imagine talking to your client, and your eyes are fixed on your keyboard because you’re typing an email sequence to send.
You’re missing out on many opportunities for engagement with the client, which is why we often recommend that you have a dedicated computer for emailing. It’s a small investment, but it will make a massive difference in your productivity and effectiveness as an internet marketer.
Track your time
A coach’s role is to coach. A coach shouldn’t be caught doing anything other than coaching.
Coaching is a relationship-based profession. We focus on helping people reach their goals, but it’s important to remember that coaching is not just about the client; it’s also about you.
As a coach, doing this can prove difficult but can be one of the best things you’d do for yourself, your clients, and your business.
Reflecting on our experience helps us develop as professionals and gives us ideas for future sessions with our clients. It also allows us to see where we might have been able to improve our approach or offer more support during a session with someone else.
A single-time tracker like
Toggl can do a lot.
Outsource
There are professional coaches who do nothing else but coach, and they have their social media profiles and content up to date, email sequences running, and consistent. Then some coaches put all their attention on marketing and trying to get clients. They don’t have time for other activities because they are so busy getting clients. They don’t even have time to check their email or social media accounts because they are too busy trying to get clients.
To be an efficient and renowned coach, you must learn to outsource tasks that you aren’t good at or do not move the needle.
Minimize distractions
The world is fast-paced, and some things can easily distract you. However, you don’t want to be distracted from your goals and dreams. You want to focus on what matters most and not let anything get in the way of making your dreams come true.
Learn to say no
One of the most important things you should learn as a professional coach is to weigh your options and say no to those not likely to impact your career. Another great thing that you can do is to keep asking questions. This will help you clarify your thoughts and get more information about what you need to do next.
